At Southside Soccer Club we want to develop players to their highest potential in a positive environment that is both instructive and fun. Our objective is to provide every player the greatest opportunity to develop their soccer skills, discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. This is accomplished by hiring the most experienced and qualified professional trainers that have a passion for the game and the desire and enthusiasm to educate young players.  Each player is provided instruction based upon a proven curriculum that is age appropriate and commensurate with the skill level of the players.

The Southside Soccer Club competitive program is composed of some of the best players from Tigard, Beaverton, Sherwood, Tualatin and surrounding areas and surrounding communities. The coaches, trainers, players and their parents are dedicated to the development of advanced soccer technique and tactics. Good sportsmanship and fun are still a major part of our program focus; however, competitive program players work hard to achieve the soccer success they have come to expect and enjoy.

Playing for Southside Soccer Club competitive program offers the opportunity to play with and against players of the highest ability, to travel and meet players from other cities throughout Oregon and beyond.  Many competitive program players will compete for positions on state, regional and national Olympic Development teams as well as future high school and college teams.  Southside competitive teams play in the Oregon Premier League and will compete in tournaments throughout Oregon.

The competition is with and against the best.  Players selected for the competitive program must expect to work hard individually at home and at team training sessions to improve their level of play.  Southside competitive teams are for players who want to be challenged to grow in their soccer skills and love of the game.  Parents must also devote significant time, effort and energy supporting their player, their team and the club.

Professional Coaching

Professional coaching is a major benefit at Southside Soccer Club. The Southside coaching staff are some of the most dedicated, trained and experienced.  Southside brings the best coaching resources to the players in our program. The Director of Coaching recruits and contracts qualified coaches to work with Southside players and teams

Players on Southside competitive teams separately purchase higher quality shorts, socks and jerseys.

Competitive program fees are higher to account for the professional coaching, fields, and league fees. Parents are responsible for covering the additional costs of uniforms, tournaments and travel expenses.

Refund and Transfer Policy

All Southside Soccer Club Classic fees are non-refundable.  If the player chooses to leave the Club or transfer to another club at any time, or withdraw from the team, no portion of the fee is refundable.  If a player is injured in such a manner that the player is unable to participate in the remainder of the seasonal year, the Director of Coaching will make a determination if any part of the fee is refundable.  To request a refund due to a season-ending injury, a medical doctor’s letter must accompany the written request verifying the injury and that the injury prevents the player from participating.  If the player moves beyond a reasonable travel distance before the end of the season, a portion of the yearly club fee may be refunded.

Transfer or release of the player will only be granted if all player’s fees and financial obligations have been fulfilled to the Club and team. Failure to fulfill a player’s financial obligations to the Club and team will result in the player being placed “Not in Good Standing” with the Club, which, could result in the player’s playing privileges being suspended until the obligations are fulfilled.  This may also impact the player’s ability to register in the future with other clubs.
