Tournament Overview
Over the past decade years, the Chinook Cup has grown into one of the largest youth soccer tournaments in the country. We are confident that this year’s event will provide a challenging and fun tournament for your team, regardless of their level of play. The 2010 Chinook Cup is scheduled for August 12-15, 2010, with most teams starting play on Thursday afternoon or evening, depending on the bracket configuration for their age group.
Awards: Awards will be presented to the Division champions and runner-ups. Participation pins will be given to all players and adult members of your team
Scheduling: We will once again use the online scheduling/standings website. Standings and results will be updated online within 45 minutes of games being completed. These updated standings will be available online immediately, and accessible via internet access from anywhere in the world. In addition, individual scores and/or schedule changes can be sent directly to your cell phone and/or email address throughout the tournament.
Formats: Age groups will be broken into Premier Gold, Permier Silver Divisions. Teams within each Division will be placed in 3, 4 or 5 teams brackets and play a round robin schedule within the bracket. We will accept a maximum of 16 teams for any Division.
Scoring: Scoring is based on a 3 point system. 3 points for a win, 1 points for a tie, 0 for a loss.
Guarantee: The tournament guarantees four games. Teams advancing to the semifinals and finals may play a 4 or more games.
